Nong Khai Checkpoint (One Stop Service)
On May 9, 2024, Mrs. Ratchada Inwong Suvarnakiri, Deputy Government Spokesperson, revealed that from the integrated cooperation of 8 agencies from 5 ministries, namely the Ministry of Industry, the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives, and the Ministry of Public Health, the public service in terms of requesting permission to export goods, inspecting export goods, and releasing goods has become more convenient.
In addition, import and export, including border trade, are no longer complicated because the government has set up a one-stop border trade service center (One Stop Service), starting in Nong Khai Province, according to the third quarter plan.
1 Sep 67, which the center has a development guideline for requesting permission to export products to request permission through a single electronic channel (Single Submission), such as creating a single form together to reduce the burden on entrepreneurs, linking the permission information of each agency, and having a checklist or smart quiz to help you know which agency to contact and how.
Inspection of export goods: Establish Green Line standards for all agencies to be consistent. All agencies should authorize the Customs Department to be the inspector on their behalf to reduce the burden of inspection and release of goods. Use electronic systems and CCTV to inspect the physical condition of transport vehicles, vehicle registrations, etc. to speed up the inspection and release of goods.
In addition, the Nong Khai border checkpoint is considered a starting point, especially for products exported to Laos and Laos connecting to China. The Prime Minister has also ordered the reduction of the number of controlled goods to the necessary level in order to increase the number of Thai exports and imports, generating more income for the people.
Nong Khai checkpoint opens and closes from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
